@ferretman - It's good to know that my earlier post in this thread solved your problem in this thread

But I'm buggered if I can understand why it did so

AFAIK the tweak_book_gui.json file is related to the book editor, whilst your problems in the library manager looked like they might be related to the gui.json file.

The two files serve a similar purpose, they contain the various settings and variable data relating to the user interface - the first for the book editor the second for the library manager.

Any insight you, or anyone else, can offer might be useful to Kovid and/or help cure my state of puzzlement :lol:
