Yep, given what all you lose from regular Android versus FireOS, paying full price for a phone using FireOS is a joke. The main thing it has going for it is, as I've seen multiple reviews state, an "integrated shopping experience." I kinda doubt there's a huge amount of people who want a smartphone mostly so they can buy stuff from Amazon.
But if it does, somehow, get popular, maybe it'll help the Appstore get more apps and existing apps to get updated faster. That'd be a good thing for everyone.
