CE Murphy or....crud, there's another one that came out about the same time as the Gillman Retrievers novels, but I have to look to find the name. I can seeeeee the cover, but the name's just not coming to me.
None have the same flavor as the Fever books, I'll admit, but as best as I remember, no vampires either.
