Hubby worked at a factory and was on what is called the hotline where they bake enamel onto the inner tanks of water heaters. He worked near a 1500 degree furnace. He started out at $10.75 and he was there 5 years as was making close to $15 an hour by the end. Yes it was HOT in there and he come home all sweaty and stinky. I really don't know of any factories or warehouses with A/C just big fans usually.

There was one factory in the Tricities that made batteries and they paid $7.50 and you had to do rotating 12 hour shifts. I'm sure you all heard of Exide batteries so we was so happy he get on at the Water heater factory instead.

$12.50 is a really good wage for starting out working at a warehouse.
