Why keep the e book folders assuming I get get them combined into one folder wihich is calibre ?

Hope that makes sense still a bit mixed up.
Some people, like me, want to keep the original copy. But others delete them. Your choice.

I don't think you can add books from the viewer.
If all of your books are in one or two folders you can drag and drop them to calibre or use the add books menu then delete them from their original folder.
