I've seen this too. An example of this is book 5 (of 8) of the Southern Vampire Series "Dead as a Doornail." All the other books are available in multiple secure formats, but book 5 is not available (from Fictionwise) in mobiformat.

When I checked on mobipocket.com & BoB they both have it, but here's the thing: for whatever reason, the mobiformat is SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive than the other formats. BoB offers it in Adobe PDF, Lit & ereader formats for $7.99 (list price before savings). It then offers the Mobiformat separately for $22.95 (again, list price).

When I emailed Fictionwise about another book with similar circumstances they responded that it "due to a pricing dispute" (or something similar) they were not offering the mobiformat at this time.

Does anyone know what is up with this? In the above example books 6 & 7 are both "paperback" priced. Did the distributer or publisher or ??? just forget about #5 or ???

thanks
Vito
