I get two weeks of charge on my PW but I do keep WiFi off unless needed.

I tried the factory reset, hopefully that will help. I do some browsing in the Kindle store pretty often and I download a lot from my library also (samples, regular Kindle books and Personal docs) using the Wi-Fi or 3G almost every day. I bet that drains the battery a lot. Sometimes I forget to turn the Kindle back to airplane mode too
We had the Nexus 7 and we gave it to my parents after we got the bigger Kindle Fire. I think I liked the Nexus better though the Kindle's nice for watching movies with the better speakers and larger screen.
