Well, THAT didn't last long. I got decent deals on two of the seven at Kobo, only to find that they had DRM there whereas the Diesel versions don't. I softened the Diesel blow a little by buying all but one of the remaining five at once, to get some reward money that I then applied to the final book. Still wound up paying less than $3 each on average, which ain't bad for books i know are good.

The annoying part is the formatting; for some reason, all seven books are set to display at 70% of normal size - TEENY type! Thankfully, the actual CSS was pretty lightweight, and it was easy enough to fix. There were some other HTML irregularities - a bad !DOCTYPE declaration, empty bold/italic tags, and one weird numbered list - but nothing huge. The right tools got everything sorted out fairly quickly.
