We used to have many threads like this a few years ago.
Just do an advanced search here and look for word gentium posted by kacir ;-)

Also search for names of fonts, like amasis, charis SIL, verdana ...

For a long time my favorite was Gentium.
Nowadays it is Ubuntu font.
Also have a look at Droid - development was sponsored by Google so they have font readable on small Android screens.

Have a look at google web fonts if you look for a freely downloadable good quality font
