And it was fun, so long as one didn't think too hard about it.

And then I read This Rough Magic by Mercedes Lackey, Eric Flint and Dave Freer, the sequel to The Shadow of the Lion.

Most enjoyable, in a mid-16th century magical mediterranean. There are two more in the series (so far), and I'm looking forward to them.

But now, a recent purchase: A History of the English Speaking Peoples, Vol. 1 by Sir Winston S Churchill.

This was an Amazon UK special recently, and I thought it would be interesting. A bit of a change from my usual mystery, fantasy or science fiction choices.
