Worse than having to rebuy an ebook is if it is no longer available as an ebook. I've bought a few books from Amazon like the second volume of the Belgarian omnibus by Eddings that has since become unavailable. Insurance wouldn't help with this. Better to clean up the books with Alf's help and make your own backups.
