Not true.

Like the reviewer himself said, he also recommends it. The alleged issue is with gamut, which again, owners who have one, barely noticed.

In the context of pure reading device, like most users here in Mobileread, it does not matter. Novels are black and white, just letters. Why you need a 100 gamut for that? Non sense.

For magazines or comics, I would never recommend the Mini or any 7 inches device. It's possible to use, but too small. 10 inches is more appropriate .

The awesome iOS app market, bigger screen than most 7 inches tablets and hardware support easily overcome that alleged gamut thing.

The only case may be a deal breaker is for those who use it in photography and on that case, the Air is probably a better device anyway. Or , if budget is a constraint .

I had a Nexus and it's too small for PDFs and browsing. It was good for ebooks though but that does not require color.
