I can't get it to recognize sideloaded books yet. I got it working! No restart needed anymore! Yay! No Covers for Sideloaded books on Carousel but show in books tab I wish it came with a manual!  Personal documents do not have covers and there is no cover view on the doc tab only list view. Table of contents do not work on personal documents at all.  |
How did you finally get to sideload books? I have the lastest version of Calibre installed and I while Calibre recognizes my Fire (the HDX 7"), when I go to transfer files to it using Calibre it just sits and sits and sits and does nothing. For one book it says it's doing two jobs but a half an hour later nothing. It used to be on my Fire that once I plugged it in I'd hit the power button, slide the button on the screen and it'd connect and the screen would say some message (can't look to see what it is, it was stolen back in October) and then I could transfer books. With my HDX I don't get that message.
