I finally ventured over to Kindle and bought a PW 1 and have also bought the PW 2. I love the readers and also how easy it is to purchase ebooks and deal with Amazon CS. To have full disclosure, I also have purchased a Kobo Mini and Aura HD. They are very good devices, but the Amazon experience is better than the Kobo experience in my opinion.
Never used Kobos, and remained with Sony since '08. Once I gave up the comfort of being a rebel, I learned to appreciate Kindles for what they are. Calibre helps greatly, but I could probably let go of it, too.
