Yeah, I think this may cost you a pretty penny to get her one for something like that. But think of the cool clothes she can make for you! And yeah, it will last forever, so it's an investment. I watch the sewing shows on TV, like Sewing With Nancy, and am amazed at what the machines will do now. I think mine does straight and zig zag stitch, and button holes. Very basic. I've thought of upgrading, but just cant' justify it. Especially not when there are so many other shiny toys I would rather have.
