I think it is established by now PW2's are more yellow than PW1. I expect generally all of them are more yellow than PW1.
That said, LED allowances etc. probably mean some PW2's are more yellow than others. So a replacement might be a little whiter, but still warm in color.
I'd say the risk of other screen imperfections might be a bit too high to replace an otherwise acceptable screen. You can try, but the risk is there.
Maybe if you can get a replacement and choose which is best, and only then return the old one if it is worse - that could be a solution.
Or explore (like me in my signature link) $69 Kindle "4B" with a lighted cover instead.

Well, maybe I'll still replace my PW2 instead of returning it, but I don't see ever liking its screen over the $69 Kindle "4B" screen...
