In K4PC Win 8, go to Library \ Collections. Next to Collections. Next to Collections is a plus (+) symbol. Click on it and you find two options: New Collections, Import Collections.
"Import Collections" will show all your Kindle Devices still registered at Manage Your Kindle. Select one of them and its Collection Names will be imported and AUTOMATICALLY attach all related eBooks to each Collection Name whether downloaded or still in the Cloud.
If you had moved those eBook files over from a Windows 7 K4PC, they will all have to be downloaded again.
If any devices were deregistered, the related Collections will not show since they were destroyed by the deregistration.
The problem is that the Collections from each device will be sorted in the same manner as they were created on the related device and cannot be resorted in K4PC. Thus, I had to delete all imported Collections in K4PC and recreate them in the order I wanted (numerically sorted). I only had 9 Collections so it went very fast.
Importing from device to device works better since they can all be sorted on each device.
