The developer is very responsive to questions and requests, and the app is updated regularly.
My wife and I have both settled on that one.

You know, I tried that one several months ago, and I liked it but the speed control was only in the experimental stage & was very unstable and too buried in the options to get to easily.
But now it seems, as you say, that there have been a lot of updates. It has 3 things that my Smart Audiobook player, which I love, lacks: customizable Rewind & FF buttons, an EQ, and most importantly, the ability to lock the phone in portrait mode (want auto-screen rotation on the phone itself but not for an audiobook app - countless times I've tried to go back 10 seconds only to have the screen rotate just as I press the button and end up hitting the next chapter button instead - grrr). I'm gonna try Listen again!
