You're right, I was far from clear.
What I did was to disable the first patch.
Code:
<Patch>
patch_name = `Disable reading footer style`
patch_enable = `yes`
And customized the footer on the second patch
Code:
patch_name = `Custom reading footer style`
When I did this, it worked as expected.
