I can't guarantee it, but if you told us which model you have it might get you a few more suggestions...

Whoops, just noticed it was under Touch.

Have you tried charging it with a known working charger, then holding the power switch off for 20 seconds or so, then holding menu button in while powering up? If nothing repeat. If still nothing try it while holding the paperclip reset button in while hitting the power switch, then try again. Watch the LED next to the power slider when you try these things. Also try holding the paperclip, menu button and power slider.

Is there anything on the screen? Or do you see any brief flashes on the screen like it's trying to write a screen?
