I came to Sony only after T1 and T2 were rooted, not before. I was waiting and remember even the day when porkupan finally gave up on T2 after probably over a month of attempts. Only to announce after a few hours the same day that he had another idea 
I ordered my first T2 the very next day.

More chance to win the lottery and I would rather win the lottery.
I'll buy Sony if it is nicer than the ones I have, and I do like Sony, but rooting would have zero or negative influence. If I felt I had to root it to enjoy it, it would be bye-bye Sony
