There was no reason to walk away from Sony yet.
But there might be.
I came to Sony only after T1 and T2 were rooted, not before. I was waiting and remember even the day when porkupan finally gave up on T2 after probably over a month of attempts. Only to announce a few hours later the same day that he had another idea
I ordered my first T2 the very next day.

Maybe Sony will surprise us with an open android on T3?
