Copying over the .epub files should be all you needed. When you disconnected the Mini from your computer, did you get a "Processing " screen? If not, a couple of possibilities. You might want to try connecting it to your computer again and then disconnecting and see if that triggers the processing screen. Alternative is to power cycle the Mini -- hold the power slider till you get powered off, power it back on and see if it does the processing then.
