But did you get my point about Mobipocket Software? It supports DRM. So for me, I think Amazon could sell a "Kindle" edition to people who download and install a "kindle" software client. That satisfies publishers who want DRM. Amazon gets more book sales. Do they lose a Kindle sale? I argue not. Because people who want a Kindle will buy a Kindle, and the people who install the hypothetical Mobipocket/Kindle Reader software, do so because they've already chosen NOT to buy a Kindle.
I think we all agree in principle, yes? So let's move on to the next item on the agenda.
