A true story:
A small start-up company, which grew to be quite large . . .
The A.A. of the C.E.O. interviewing the lady who would eventually become the V.P. of Human Resources . . .
Q: "What is the normal work schedule?"
A: "We run a flex schedule here, you can start at any time of the day to work your choice of 16 hours."
She took the job offer anyway.
Loved to tell the story the first few years of the company's life.
When she got to be V.P. of H.R. she cut the staff members back to a 14 hour day.
