I've just had a week reading from one shelf (the stories in Heinlein's "Future History" series), and previously from an H.G. Wells shelf. I haven't noticed this behaviour at all, but I'd be mightily hacked off if I did!

I know it's the KT doing that, because that screen doesn't exist anywhere in the actual e.book, and it's always the same font and formatting, regardless of the book itself, for every Shelved book on my KT.
(If I'm reading a book that hasn't been assigned to a Shelf and let the KT go into sleep mode, the sleep display is still the book's cover ... well, allowing for the bug of the firmware using the previous book's cover the first time it goes into sleep mode.)

I have noticed something similar, but it seems to me that it occurs on books that I have edited and taken out the titlepage.xhtml file for whatever reason. The book will still show a cover when off, but in sleep it shows a title and that it is an epub (which I prefer, now I come to think of it). I also have a couple of books from when I was initially playing with editing that display different covers depending on what mode the reader is in! The reader is simply accessing a different file for "sleep" and "off".
