Orlok - A Melita measure is the spoon that used to come with a can of Melita coffee. Like the Melita filter, it is cone shaped, which makes it hard to estimate how much it holds. So I got out the kitchen scales to check. It holds 15 ml of water - about one tablespoon, or about 8 grams of fine ground coffee, for those of you who weigh it I believe it is supposed to be the 'right' amount of coffee for a 5 oz. cup. Of course my mug is about 10 oz. So I am making this coffee a little stronger than normal; but it has a lovely rich flavour made this way.
