Well, my KT arrived yesterday. I'll be writing an account, with pictures, of how I set it up in a new thread (see: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...70#post2182670). However, to cut a long story short, it came with firmware 1.9.12, so I set up an account via Kobo Desktop, and allowed the KT to upgrade to the latest firmware (2.0.0.c) via the usb lead. Whilst I prefer the home-screen on 1.9.12, I have had no problems (in 24 hours!) with 2.0.0.c, which is what I expected on a clean install - it seems to me from following the forums that the problems are related to changing KTs with occupied databases (which is, of course, totally unacceptable).
