Didn't suggest GIMP as a GUI ideal, I used it as an example of an Open Source Python application that supports themes, I prefer dark colours because my eyes are damaged.
I could have used suggested several other applications as examples - Firefox, Chrome, Zoner, idImager, VS Studio etc - but they are not Open Source Apps written in Python.
