The problem with Calibre is that it says the books are added but they don't show up on the reader.
Calibre is the latest version and so is the Kobo software. I don't know how to do setup wizard but I don't use any other devices.
Logging in and out did not solve the problem.
The weird thing is, when I go into ADE and look on my Kobo, the metadata is correct, but when I disconnect my Kobo, it is wrong.

Firstly, because this has been going for a couple of weeks, I am assuming your are using the 1.9.17 or earlier firmware,
Are looking at the metadata via the KT's interface? If so, this doesn't get updated. If you put an epub on the KT, disconnect it and let the KT find the epub, it adds it generates the cover image files and reads the metadata and puts it in the database. If you later connect the KT to your computer and replace the epub, the KT does not detect this and reprocess epub. So, it doesn't update the metadata in the library and hence won't display any changed details. If you want to do this, you need to delete the epub from the KT using the KTs menus. Then add the new version.
This might have changed with the new firmware. A couple of things I have done suggest that the KT is processing new versions of the epubs. But, so far it has simply deleted all trace of the epub and not actually updated anything. With the changes I made to the epubs, this is sort of OK. I haven't tried just changing metadata to see what happens.
If calibre is adding the books but the KT isn't seeing them, it might mean the epubs have a problem in them. You need to remove any that are not being seen by the KT and then add them one at a time (add to KT, disconnect and look for it in the KTs library). If one doesn't get added, then there is something wrong with the structure of the epub.
