Thanks for all the replies to my page turn question a few (thread-)pages back... I downloaded 2.0 from the link a day or two ago and last night, I updated my KT. It worked perfectly! Update within 6 minutes, no hassle. All content still in tact, reading stats, sideload, everything (except my sudoku, but oh well).

Now running 2.0.0 (r41166, 7/12/12). Here's what I think so far:

Likes

- I *LOVE* the new home screen! Finally no clutter! Thanks for listening Kobo.

- I LOVE that the top margin is back for side loaded books! Yay!

- I LOVE the new pop-up dictionary upon tap-holding a word! (It would be nice to be able to exit the menu by pressing the X in the pop-up without having to also hit the X in the bottom bar.)

- I LOVE the shelves.

- I really like the new option to exit any settings page to go right to the home screen with the little cross in the top right (as apposed to having to go back to the settings list with the back-arrow only to have to hit the home button anyway).

- I like the new font tweaking option, although I have not been able to fully try it out as I mainly use side loaded books (even the kepubs that I've bought, I download the epub version as I don't like the page numbers per chapter that the kepubs give instead of page numbers per total)

- Wishlist is good, but might be more practical to have only on the Desktop app and on kobobooks.com, as it's a lot of hassle to browse and pin on the KT. I would never do that, as I always have my laptop to do the browsing with, and laptop is a lot faster...

Bugs

- Slow page turns for side loaded books

- Creating shelves: screen is quite non responsive in left and right bottom hand corners (adding bottom book and hitting left hand arrow to go to the previous page)

- After creating a shelf, if I change the view to show the covers in a tiled way, then edit the shelf to add a book and save, the shelf reappears with the new book added, but back in the standard view.

- In the Library: dropdown menus next to the books in list view show the option to "mark as finished", even for books that ARE finished…

- When sideloading books to KT, then ejecting and unplugging and waiting for KT to process new contents the home screen comes up when it's ready. However, home screen is unresponsive (or sometimes extreeeemely slow, and then something goes wrong). I have to put KT to sleep and wake up again, after which the home screen is perfectly responsive.

- Deleting the book I'm currently reading from the KT (using calibre), and then putting it back (edited), makes it disappear from the KT after new contents is processed. I have to plug the KT back into the computer and send the book to the KT again for the KT to actually accept it's there… (It works fine for books I'm not currently reading.)

- Edit to add: this hyphenation problem people are having, I don't have so many hyphenation errors, but what I do notice is that the lines are very full. Letters and words are quite close together compared to previously, I don't much like it, too much information so close together for my eyes!

Requests

- Would still really like a 24 hour clock for the English system (I know 24 hour clock is available for the other languages)

- Having said that, I would really like the clock back! I'm not so bothered about the clock on the home screen being one tap further away, but having a clock when reading a book and tapping centre was SO handy… As previously suggested: why not replace the Wifi-icon that shows up within a menu when reading a book with the clock… I don't care about Wifi when reading, I want clockness when reading!

- It would be nice to have the shelf functionality in the folder structure, so when the KT is plugged into a computer you can easily make and edit shelves… I imagine a "Shelves" folder in which each folder is a shelf that contains the books inside that subfolder…
