Not really. Have you ever heard of Maslow's hierarchy of needs? The basic idea is that everyone needs to meet their basic needs first. That's things like food and shelter. Once those needs are met, people move up the hierarchy to fulfil the psychological needs.
Someone who feels insecure about meeting those physical needs are more likely to say money over fame. People who are secure may choose money or fame, depending upon what their psychological needs are. Since people can also plan for the future, they may also seek out a balance between money and fame (i.e. meeting all of their needs).
