Oooohhh man! I want it sooo bad.

I have SO many recipe apps/websites that I use. And for shopping! Watching TV! Entertaining! I want one!

But my husband doesn't build computers and told me point blank it wasn't happening. I don't know any teenagers so I can't have one of them build it for me.

So my (current) options are either an iPad or a touchscreen all in one computer. I have to admit to being a bit particular about aesthetics...so the one I like visually the most is the Sony L Series. Which starts at $999.

That's before customization!!!

So I'm looking at the iPad again. And realizing that I really don't need a kitchen computer. But in comparison...the iPad isn't very expensive. In comparison.
It's been a while since you wrote this so I'm not sure if you solved this or not, but if you didn't you might like this: http://www.woodforddesign.com/Home.html. The FridgePad looks like the easiest solution for the kitchen, and it's actually the one that I've seen on a gadget website.
