What Diap is saying is that there are two different things. He just gave you step by step instructions on how to restart your Kindle through the menu option. It is different then what you did.

People are trying to help you but you do not seem to be willing to take their advice or answer their questions in a manner that will help them help you.

No one is treating you like you are two. No one here knows you. There are people who ask for help who do not realize that there is a menu setting that can help them or who realize that you can fix something by holding the power button for five seconds. Since people do not know you and what you know, they start with the basics. This is a common practice.

All you have to say is "Yes I did that and it did not work."
