There's a major hiccup with the ipad as a business device. Businesses can't manage them remotely. Apple does have an 'ipad configurator' but it requires physically plugging in the device to the computer that manages the configuration. I know executives love them (ours certainly do!) but when you're talking about proprietary or HIPAA protected information being synced with the 'cloud', IT shops still have big concerns.

This is one area that Windows 8 tablets, if they work as advertised, have an edge. They'll be manageable with SCCM and group policy. Big win for businesses.
