When I first brought it home, I could but one day last week it just started giving me the message unsuccessfull when I try to connect. I am running a Novatel wireless USB modem on a Macbook Pro and have always connected thru it. I n fact my husbands netbook and my Ipad all connect using the setup. MY original nook always connected and like I said this one did to up until one day.
My system is not password protected to get on and this is what the settings say on my Verizon manager statistics page :
[MOD: snip of IP addresses and Mac address]
I really hope someone can help, as I like being able to buy my books from home.

Looking at the Novatel website is seems these USB modems do only connect to the mobile phone network (3G), but do not have Wifi.
The original Nook also had 3G.
The NST has only Wifi.
What was the SSID (the name) of the Wifi router you were connecting to at home? Were you perhaps connecting to someone elses Wifi?
Which model Novatel modem do you have?
If you did have a Wifi connection it could be your NST was updated to firmware 1.1, which causes Wifi problems for some people.
