It haas to do with Apple, because if nothing else, it refutes Steve Job's notorious declaration that 7" displays would never be popular.

What's more interesting than whether this has anything to do with Apple is what Apple's response might be.
Will it:

1. Come out with its own 7" model- the mini Ipad?
2. Will it shave $10-20 off the price of its entry in the sub-10" display device-the iPod touch?
3. Will it continue to sell the iPad2 after the iPad3 is introduced but at the $299 or 349 price point?

Of course, if you are not an Appple person, this may not be interesting at all. . But a lot of folks are going to want to discuss these scenarios.
