Cool Reader does do publisher defaults. It's the one of the other reader apps besides Mantano and Nook that does read external style sheets. It's was the first app I used as reader before I found Mantano I've tried them all and the only ones that do read External Style Sheets is Mantano, Cool Reader and Nook.
Cool Reader is the only one does use a full font family. See my First eInk reader used Cool Reader so I am very familiar with the program and how it works.
