Dunno, I've never tasted my spleen, but I've bruised it before ... or were they just afraid I'd bruised it, I'm not sure any more.
In that vein, I'd like to introduce you all to a comic strip called "
Brewster Rockits" It ought to go over well with this crew: the current archived strips (which go back to November at the moment) include multiple references to squirrels and several exclamations of "Oh, my
spleen!"

See, when you grow up around these menaces, you learn young that the best way to deal with them when they have the high ground like that is to try to kill them
before they get airborne ... actually ... that's the best way to deal with them under
all circumstances. Have I mentioned the satisfying snap/crunch sound they make when crushed with sudden, maximum force ?
