Elly Griffiths 'Ruth Galloway' series (forensic anthropologist consults with Norfolk PD)
Nicola Upson 'Josephine Tey' series (author who helps out her friend in Scotland Yard)
Deanna Raybourn 'Lady Julia Grey' (husband is the CD, Julia is a talented wannabe)

Why do UK women get all the fun? Kate excepted.
