I looked on their website, and the A1 version (which is, I understand, the cheaper one) is no longer available for purchase at all. The K1 is much more expensive @399.

This story, dated yesterday, says that they're shooting themselves in the foot by raising the price above that of the Fire. And the big problem? It's single-core.

No, I simply do not think that you're going to see a dual-core tablet at this price point that has all the extra bells and whistles that people clamor for. The only reason amazon can do it is because of their vertical integration: they sell the Fire for a loss, knowing they'll make it up, and more, in content sales.
