As far as I'm concerned there's two tipes of shiny: Good shiny and bad shiny. Good shiny looks fresh and vibrant. Any examples? Well, ehm, my dad's car after he's polished it. Bad shiny on the other hand... just looks cheap. Like someone wearing too much makeup.
This last reader from sony is definitely bad shiny in my opinion. Which is a pity, since I've always thought that most of the sony readers looked so much better than the kindles. But I have to admit that based purely on looks I'd much rather go for the kindle touch than the t1. I guess that a skin from Decalgirl will do the trick, though. Including shipping to Europe that's gonna be a 20-30 bucks extra for the reader... but no way I'm spending the next years reading on a bad-looking device.
