Yeah, I was disappointed that book covers still can't be displayed on the home screen. It's been said that you can't store book covers in .mobi books like you can with .epub books, so that's the reason the Kindle can't show book covers in your library. Bummer forever.
Someone feel free to clarify/correct if needed.
