Maybe you should spend some time researching "your friend" Amazon and it's actions of the last 4-5 years. It just might be eye-opening. And no. I am not going to spend my time looking it up for you.

Oh no my dear, there is no need to look further, you have already given me WAY WAY TOO MUCH information.
As for my friend Amazon's actions, it would appear someone raised an issue about these titles, and as a protector of the public's common good, Amazon felt it necessary to investigate the issue and upon clearing the matter up, put the books back into play.
This action coincides with your description.
As is a common wont in sport, "No harm, no foul."
This action is not unheard of at Amazon, though I don't know how common it is. I have personally seen where there were complaints about electronic hardware and Amazon made a note that they had temporarily suspended the product while they investigated. This is good due diligence from a company that is trying it's best to be a good citizen. And by the way this particular product was also returned to the catalog as it seems were those books.
You see, Amazon is not only our friend, but a good citizen as well.
