I can't quite decide whether to be cross because of the broken Kindle (which seems to me to quite possibly be part of a bad batch) or pleased because of the swift and easy replacement.
I suspect I tend towards the latter, as I've certainly not been put off getting other Kindles in the future.

Their customer service is one of the things I love about Amazon. I've had the same experience, except mine broke after falling off a desk onto a linoleum-covered concrete floor. I was told that was considered "normal use" and a free replacement arrived the next day.
