As long as the plastic bezels on these readers are not glossy like they are in the (largely computer generated/touched?) product shots, I think this new reader looks the bees knees.

EDIT 2: Now that I've actually read the press release, I don't think you are right! Surprised the price is the same, but nevertheless this is how it reads:

The video of the red unit is indeed very glossy. The black is piano black so it will be glossy as well. The white one doesnt look too glossy.

Yeah maybe the potter one has a logo on it or something. I still would not get it because of the glossy case. Well maybe I will and resell it at twice the price to the potter nerds.
