Finished two books today, one fiction and the other non-fiction.

The fiction was Red Harvest by Dashiell Hammett. Not my favorite book by this author, although it was on Time magazine's list of the 100 best English-language novels published between 1923 and 2005. I thought it was plum weird how the main character never gives his name. He identifies himself three different times using three different aliases, but when all is said and done, we know him only as the operative from the Continental Detective Agency.

The other was On Writing by Stephen King. A wonderful book on the art that includes, along with his personal tips and advice, quite a bit of insight into his personal life and how it has affected his writing.
