I use Goodreads to discuss books, books, and more books. The groups there are good, especially since most of broken down by genres or authors. The activity level will depend on the group. Some are very light, but the more popular ones are very busy. Too busy at times.

I tend to use MobileRead for discussions on devices and the programs on them. This forum has a better grasp on this than other forums that I frequent.
