The other way we were discussing this with some of my friends.
One of which studies with me at the university (engineer) and he pointed out (and i quote):
"Technically the glass is always full, no matter what. You pour the glass full of water and drink half the glass. The glass is still goddam full; half is filled with water, the other half is filled with air. Don't give me that optimistic, pessimistic bs"
