You have the exact same option when you purchase ebooks from a browser on your PC, too. The wording is "Transfer via computer" on the "Deliver to" drop down.

Just remember, the Device specific PID for your Kindle no longer works for Amazon purchases (unless you have software less than 2.5 on your device), it's the 16 character serial number you want.
